Originar din Noua Zeeland\u0103 \u0219i Australia, arborele de Manuka era extrem de popular printre&nbsp;<strong>triburile neo-zeelandeze<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>Maori<\/strong>&nbsp;care foloseau lemnul tare \u0219i ro\u0219iatic ca material de construc\u021bii, iar scoar\u021ba \u0219i frunzele \u00een scop medicinal de mai multe secole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Popoarele indigene cuno\u0219teau \u0219i apelau la propriet\u0103\u021bile terapeutice ale scoar\u021bei \u0219i frunzelor de Manuka pentru vindecarea r\u0103nilor, tratarea afec\u021biunilor respiratorii, a diareei sau pentru \u00eengrijirea cavit\u0103\u021bii bucale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mierea de Manuka a fost ob\u021binut\u0103 mult mai t\u00e2rziu, \u00een anul\u00a0<strong>1839<\/strong>\u00a0datorit\u0103 misionarei Mary Bumby. Mary Bumby a adus din Anglia \u00een Noua Zeeland\u0103 2 stupi cu albine Apis mellifera, specia folosit\u0103 pentru produc\u021bia comercial\u0103 a mierii. \u00cen vremea aceea, \u00een Noua Zeeland\u0103 existau doar 2 specii de albine, \u00eens\u0103 niciuna nu era potrivit\u0103 \u00een acest sens.\u00a0<strong>Produc\u021bia mierii de Manuka a \u00eenceput la sf\u00e2r\u0219itul anilor 1870.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De\u0219i este ob\u021binut\u0103 de peste 100 de ani, mierea de Manuka a devenit popular\u0103 odat\u0103 cu descoperirea activit\u0103\u021bii non-peroxidic\u0103 specific\u0103 (NPA), activitatea care asigur\u0103 puterea antibacterian\u0103. Aceast\u0103 descoperire a fost realizat\u0103 \u00een anul 1981 de c\u0103tre&nbsp;<strong>dr. Acest nutrient se formeaz\u0103 \u00een mod natural \u00een nectarul florilor de Manuka, \u015fi este transferat automat \u00een miere de c\u0103tre albine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MGO\u2122 este marc\u0103 \u00eenregistrat\u0103\u00a0Manuka Health\u00a0New Zeeland Ltd.\u00a0<\/strong>\u015fi totodat\u0103 sistemul care\u00a0indic\u0103 activitatea antibacterian\u0103 prin m\u0103surarea nivelului de metilglioxal (prescurtat MGO) din miere. Cu c\u00e2t nivelul MGO este mai ridicat, cu at\u00e2t este mai mare \u015fi puterea antibacterian\u0103. Dac\u0103 mierea con\u021bine nectar din mai multe specii de arbusti, dar totu\u0219i concentratia de nectar de manuka este predominanta, atunci aceasta poate fi numit\u0103\u00a0<strong>miere de Manuka multifloral\u0103<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ce \u00eenseamn\u0103 UMF?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) sau factorul unic Manuka<\/strong>&nbsp;este factorul de evaluare ce determin\u0103 puterea antibacterian\u0103 a mierii tot prin m\u0103surarea nivelului de metilglioxal, dar \u015fi a nivelul de dihidroxiacetona, respectiv activitatea peroxidului de hidrogen din miere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UMF este marc\u0103 \u00eenregistrat\u0103 utilizat\u0103 doar de c\u0103tre produc\u0103torii licen\u0163ia\u0163i din Noua Zeeland\u0103, \u015fi totodat\u0103 un sistem de clasificare care separ\u0103\u00a0<strong>mierea de Manuka natural\u0103<\/strong>, nealterat\u0103 \u015fi 100% pur\u0103, de produsele cu o calitate \u00eendoielnic\u0103.\u00a0Altfel spus, prezen\u021ba pe ambalaj a simbolului UMF este o garan\u021bie a faptul c\u0103 mierea respectiv\u0103 este original\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Manuka Health<\/strong>\u00a0se asigur\u0103 c\u0103 mierea lor este cea mai pur\u0103 disponibil\u0103, deoarece face eforturi pentru a plasa stupii \u00een p\u0103durile dese si greu accesibile din Noua Zeeland\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mierea de Manuka UMF 5+ sau UMF 8+<\/strong> are un nivel antibacterian sc\u0103zut \u0219i poate fi folosit\u0103 pentru uz zilnic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mierea de Manuka UMF 10+ sau UMF 12+<\/strong> are un nivel antibacterian mediu \u0219i poate fi folosit\u0103 pentru sistemul imunitar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mierea de Manuka UMF 15+, UMF 16+ sau UMF 18+<\/strong> are un nivel antibacterian ridicat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mierea de Manuka UMF 20+ sau UMF 25+<\/strong> are un nivel antibacterian foarte ridicat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ce \u00eenseamn\u0103 NPA?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>O alt\u0103 metod\u0103 de clasificare este activitatea non-peroxid\u0103 (NPA), care se concentreaz\u0103 pe m\u0103surarea activit\u0103\u021bii antibacteriene specifice mierii Manuka \u0219i nu \u021bine cont de concentra\u021bia de MGO sau de al\u021bi compu\u0219i. Mierea Manuka cu o valoare NPA mai mare are o activitate antibacterian\u0103 mai mare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NPA (Non Peroxide Activity) m\u0103soar\u0103 activitatea non-peroxidica a mierii de Manuka.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toate sortimentele de miere au activitate antibacterian\u0103 datorit\u0103 unui antiseptic natural numit peroxid de hidrogen \u2013 H2O2 (ap\u0103 + oxigen).
